BOB Alterrain Vs. Alterrain Pro Vs. Revolution Flex Stroller [Video]

BOB Alterrain, Alterrain Pro and Revolution Flex Stroller Comparison

BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Jogging Stroller

Hi, I’m Amy, owner of Strolleria. In this video, we’ll compare the new Bob Alterrain and Alterrain strollers with a Bob Revolution Flex 3.0. The Revolution Flex is available now at Strolleria.com and the Alterrain series is coming in January 2020. If you have questions, email us at customercare@strolleria.com or leave a comment below.

In early 2020 Bob is introducing a premium line of jogging strollers, the Alterrain and Alterrain Pro with new features like a one handed fold and a modernized look. Bob is also continuing its bestseller, the Revolution Flex 3.0 which has similar features at a lower price point. The Revolution Flex is 449 at Strolleria.com while the Alterrain is 499 and Alterrain Pro is 549. Let’s take a look at the differences.

All three Bobs have features like a padded seat with pockets, a large storage basket, a magnetic peekaboo window, and car seat compatibility. The Alterrain Pro also has these features not seen on the Alterrain or Revolution Flex. A handbrake for speed control on hills, a zippered basket to keep your belonging secure, reflective details on the wheels for added visibility, a peekaboo window with both a plastic panel and ventilation, and fabrics that are 100% waterproof to protect your child in any weather.

All Bob strollers is have sturdy air-filled tires with suspension that provides a smooth ride if you’re running or navigating tough terrain. The suspension absorbs shock and minimizes side to side movement for your child. The Alterrain and Revolution Flex strollers have an equally smooth ride, but the handbrake on the Alterrain Pro helps with maneuverability for serious runners.

Both the Alterrain and Alterrain Pro fold in one step using only one hand. Lift up the seat fabric and press the yellow button while twisting the bar. The stroller folds and locks automatically and it stands when folded for easier lifting. To unfold push the button on the side of the seat and lift the stroller back into place.

The Revolution Flex takes two steps and two hands to fold. Pull up on the triggers on both sides of the frame to fold the seat forward. Then pull the red handle to complete the fold. Unlike the Alterrain, the Revolution Flex does not stand when folded and you’ll need to lock it manually by connecting the red buckles. Compared to the Alterrain versions, the Revolution Flex is a little more compact when folded.

The Alterrain strollers have more premium athleisure fabrics, while the fabrics on the Revolution Flex have a more basic look and feel. The Alterrain Pro is the only Bob stroller with a hundred percent waterproof fabrics similar to those on rain jackets. The Alterrain comes in softer colors with millage fabrics; black, teal, lilac, and gray. The Alterrain Pro has sportier colors and waterproof fabrics in black, olive, blue and lunar, which includes glow in the dark details on the canopy and basket. For 2020 the Revolution Flex comes in two colors; graphite and glow in the dark lunar.

That’s it for our comparison of the Bob Alterrain, Alterrain Pro and Revolution Flex. If you have questions or need help finding this stroller that’s right for you, email us at customercare@strolleria.com or leave a comment below. Thanks for watching.
